Negotiated Settlements
If Mediation or the Collaborative Process is not right for you, that does not mean that you have to litigate your divorce matter. There are many ways to negotiate and resolve your divorce matter outside of court. If you and your spouse are willing and have the desire to negotiate a settlement outside of court, you can do so. Both of you can retain family law attorneys, preferably that have alternative dispute resolution backgrounds who will work together to help you reach resolution in a respectful manner.
The Process
In many ways, the process is similar to the collaborative process but without the formalities of the process and without the requirement of the divorce coaches and financial professionals. However, you may still want to use these professionals in some manner to assist you with your case.
Benefits Include:
- Offers more control over the outcome
- Less expensive, negotiate at reasonable costs
- Less time
- More control over the outcome
Reaching an uncontested divorce
