Negotiated Settlements

There are many times when neither Mediation or the collaborative process may not be right for you. That does not mean that you have to litigate your divorce matter. There are many ways to negotiate and resolve your divorce matter. Most often, if you and your spouse are willing and desire to negotiate a settlement outside of court, you can do so. Both of you can hire counsel with some alternative dispute resolution background in order to work together.

The Process

In many ways, the process is similar to the collaborative process but without the formalities of the process and without the divorce coaches and financial professionals. It allows you to use these professionals if both parties agree it would be helpful to the process and ultimate resolution.

Benefits Include:

  • Offers more control over the outcome
  • Less expensive, negotiate at reasonable costs
  • Less time
  • More control over the outcome

Reaching an uncontested divorce
